WORD UP! Inner City Outreach was founded by Reverend
Michael and Darla Yuricha of Judah Ministries, Inc. The purpose
of this ministry is to organize and conduct evangelistic crusades
targeted to the youth of our urban areas by utilizing the
gifts and talents of the local churches.
Through this ministry, the local churches are encouraged to
get involved with their gifts and talents (vocalists, music
groups, mime teams, drama teams, hair stylists, manicurist,
clowns, counselors, etc...) and reach out to the local communities
by offering a "Free Community Day" to the local
neighborhoods.
There are many activities throughout the day whereby the
love of Jesus Christ is shown. Games for the kids with prizes
to be won, manicures, haircuts, a prayer tent with free Bibles,
sno-cones, giant jumping gym, mini concerts, etc... At the
end of the day an invitation is given and dozens of people
respond to the call of Christ.
A registration card is completed by each person who responds
to the altar call and is filed by WORD UP! Inner City Outreach.
The complete list is then forwarded to the involved churches
for appropriate follow-up.
