Sell 500 CDs @ $15.00 ea. - $7,500.00
Est. cost of recording - 4,500.00
Est. cost of replication (1000 cds) - 1,500.00

Total Profit $1,500.00

At this level, you would still have 500 CDs remaining to sell as pure profit. (How much did you make from your last candy-bar or hoagie fundraiser?) And remember, when you re-order more CDs, your cost per item is only the replication cost, and the net income from each sale is pure profit.
